Charity Demo
24 Hour Demo in aid of UNICEF
We did it!

Voodoo Unicycles, the UK's only Extreme Unicycling Display Team put on a stunt of epic proportions. Along with a team of 6 of the UK's best riders, part of the extended Voodoo family, we put on an Extreme Unicycling Display which lasted from Midday on July 30th 2011 until Midday on July 31st 2011, 24 hours of non-stop Street, Trials and Flatland Unicycling. It was the first time something like that had been attempted and a stunt this size deserved a cause, more important than itself. We were raising funds in aid of UNICEF, an extremely worth while charity who provide long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.

The marathon demo took place in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. We were positioned on 'The Mound' which is steeped in history and surrounded by the National Gallery of Scotland, the Royal Scottish Academy, the spires of New College, the General Assembly Hall of the Church of Scotland, and the elegant domed Headquarters of the Bank of Scotland. A great location for an event as tremendous as this.

The 24 hour long demo was tough and in places it felt like we weren't going to make it. We had to keep reminding ourselves why we were doing it and luckily we pulled through as a team and managed to have riders on the rig for the entire 24 hours.
We had a webcam running so fans could watch a live feed of the event direct from our website or Facebook page. We also made a video diary of the event and edited it into a Voodoo Unicycles Special Vlog, which can be seen below!
We raised about £1500 on the day using the collection buckets. We also have a thanksgiving page which people kindly donated to aswell. The thanksgiving page is still open and you will be able to donate until 2016.
